What makes Petra Palace Hotel so convenient is its location, about 200-250 meters from the Petra Visitor Center. You can walk to the entrance in just a few minutes, with no taxi or early morning rush. That’s especially helpful if you want to get in early before the crowds or heat. I was staying with a Russian group who had booked another hotel, and after seeing how easily we reached Petra and how smoothly things were arranged, several said they wished they’d chosen Petra Palace instead. Location really matters here. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel had a welcoming atmosphere and a good breakfast before a long day walking around Petra. The experienced staff are used to international guests, so check-in and the rest of the stay felt smooth and professional. After exploring, it was nice to relax, have dinner, or sit in the courtyard. I recently stayed at Petra Palace Hotel in Wadi Musa, and it remains a practical and comfortable place to stay. I’d absolutely return, especially if convenience, comfort and practicality matter to you.

The breakfast buffet had a wide selection, and the lovely chefs made omelettes. The staff were kind and helpful, and they even let us print there. It’s a nice hotel in a perfect spot for walking to Petra. The only downside for me was the beds, which could have been softer, though that’s a matter of taste. I’d book it if you’re in Petra.

We were there in November, during the off season. Twin rooms were about 55 JOD a night with bed and breakfast. Good location, and breakfast was fine. The pool was cold, as expected. Staff were friendly and spoke English. Use the bathroom blind if you don’t want to see your travel companion using the bathroom or shower.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were polite and helpful, and the hotel is in a good location. Our excellent twin room was very large, with two double beds and a great bathroom. Breakfast was good.

I’d give zero stars if I could. This was sold as a “Turkish bath and massage,” but that’s not what it was. We spent 10 minutes in a hot tub, then 10 minutes in a steam room that ran out, leaving us awkwardly in a cold room for 20 minutes. After that came what felt like a painful, unhygienic scrub. The bath was in a huge, bare room with concrete slabs. The woman put my head on a dirty towel and started scrubbing. She asked “hard or soft”; I said a bit of both, but it wasn’t relaxing or therapeutic. It was sore and clumsy, like a child could have done it. At one point she lifted my legs to “stretch” them and went to lock my knees, which was incredibly dangerous with my bad knees. I had to stop her before she hurt me. She also scrubbed my face with something that looked like a dirty cloth, and now my skin has broken out in spots. I’ve had authentic Turkish baths in Turkey and many professional sports and relaxation massages, and this was nothing like them. It wasn’t a Turkish bath or a massage, just random rubbing that left me sore, dirty and honestly horrified. There’s no chance this woman has proper massage or spa therapy training. The whole thing felt unprofessional, unsafe and unsanitary. It cost £24, a complete waste of money. Avoid this place at all costs if you want to spare yourself the disappointment and skin breakout.
