Cozy and a nice size, not too big. There are two large private (kashikiri) Onsens, and the system is practical: just use one when it’s unoccupied. Each has an indoor bath and an outdoor (Routenburo) one. It would be nice if they had some kind of dog room.
A lovely little inn with a hot spring.
The staff were wonderful with our young children, making sure they had things to do and wouldn’t get bored. The service was absolutely amazing. Our room was in a detached building, so getting to the main one was a bit of a hassle, though I think it’ll become a fond memory. We almost had the place to ourselves. The hot spring was just right, neither too hot nor lukewarm, and I loved it. Sadly, snow meant we couldn’t use the open-air bath. We also missed out on the private bath, but it’s free, open 24 hours, and doesn’t need a reservation, so I’d like to try it next time. Many dishes used local products from Nagano Prefecture. The apple juice was delicious, with a rich sweet and sour flavor unlike commercial apple juice. Our snowy trip turned sunny the next day, and the scenery was beautiful, surrounded by nature. Thank you so much.
The location is a little out of the way, but the free shuttle makes it convenient. The service was excellent, and I even got a souvenir when leaving. The facility was very clean, the food was delicious, and the private bath was as large as a public bath. It was available 24 hours a day. There was free coffee, tea, and snacks. Our plan included the VIP lounge, where we could also have free all-you-can-drink alcohol. I was completely satisfied and couldn’t find anything bad about the stay. I’d use it again if I get the chance.
We booked the birthday package, and the staff even helped prepare the surprise gift set. Their attentiveness was the best of any ryokan I’ve stayed at lately, and seeing my wife so happy was thanks to all of them. We enjoyed the quiet town and spacious interior, away from the busy shopping streets of places like Kusatsu and Ikaho. The private open-air bath was more than twice the size of the small private baths at other ryokans, which made it feel especially luxurious. Dinner and breakfast both had lots of variety, and my wife and I were very satisfied. I’d gladly return to this ryokan and recommend it. ♨️
