Yumoto Hotel Achikawa

Our four days at Yumoto Achikawa were wonderfully relaxed. It was easy to reach the Hirugami onsen area by bus or car, and the cheerful staff were helpful. Most could communicate in English. Special thanks to Mura-san and the woman who spoke very good English, both pictured with me. Mr Handsome, Mr Star walk and Mr security also made our stay so happy. :D The baths were clean and well maintained, with plenty of shower stations and an easy flow from the changing area through the showers to the pools. I loved the quiet feel of the outdoor pool and its view of the pine trees and sakura in spring. There’s an outdoor cave pool too. Our room was spacious, spotless and well equipped. Along the river, a path passes beautiful cherry blossoms and hanamomo in spring. The food was above average for the price at both breakfast and dinner, and we even had horse sashimi. The spring scenery was truly beautiful, and I’d love to return to see the Hanamomo blooms. The outdoor onsen hotel was one of the best we’ve visited.
