Yumi, Natsumi, and Sayaka were the bright spots this time. They were genuinely caring with our children and helped our family make lovely memories, which reminded me of the warmth we used to feel at Club Med Kiroro. This was my fifth visit. The four earlier stays, when Marine was Village Chief, were exceptional, and our family always came away happy. In February, though, the resort felt almost like a different place. Many familiar G.O.s were gone, and the service had changed. Reception made several mistakes that complicated both check-in and check-out, something we’d never run into before. The rules also felt stricter and at times restrictive. With prices up, the drop in service was disappointing. The guest mix also seemed much more focused on Chinese guests than in past years. I know an international resort welcomes people from many countries, and that’s part of its appeal. Still, the atmosphere used to feel more balanced and multicultural. This time the stronger Chinese influence made things uncomfortable for guests like us who have loved the resort for years. It’s hard to rate the current village management highly, though I feel some of Club Med’s warmth remains with staff who worked under Marine. Kiroro has meant a lot to our family because of our earlier experiences, and I hope it can bring back that hospitality and balanced international atmosphere. Thanks again to Yuumi, Natsumi, and Sayaka. Their service deserves five stars.
What made the trip especially reassuring as parents was seeing our kids so happy at Kids Club. They spent their days skiing, doing activities, and making friends, while the caring G.O. team helped them feel confident and looked after. Our children are 7 and 10, and getting to relax while they had such a good time felt priceless. We’ve just come back from our second visit in two years, and Club Med Kiroro again went beyond what we expected. The powder is unlike anywhere else, and every run felt magical. It seems great whether you already ski well or are still learning. Meals were varied, high quality, and beautifully presented. Chef John deserves a special thank you for making delicious, safe food for our daughter with allergies. The evening entertainment was lively and professional, and each night felt like a celebration. Oceane managed the resort so smoothly, and the team’s kind, attentive energy was easy to feel everywhere. Our family of four had an incredible ski holiday. This has become a special tradition, and we’ll be back next year.
When I was learning to snowboard, sina and laura helped me feel much more confident. I can’t wait to come back. Max was also wonderful with our kids at Kiroro Grand. She was friendly, patient, and made every lesson fun and encouraging. They improved a lot, loved learning with her, and already say they miss her. She even made extra effort to interact with her after classes. We’re grateful and would recommend her to families. The people made our stay at Club Med Kiroro Grand unforgettable. Both my children and I got sick while we were there, and Sam and Arifin kept checking on us, helped with practical things, and made sure we felt safe and supported. Traveling with kids while ill is stressful, but their genuine care made a hard situation much easier. We’ll always be grateful. The snow covered setting and all inclusive experience were lovely too. Staff like Sam, Arifin, sina, Laura, max, bam, Jacky and rein are what make this resort special. We’d return in a heartbeat and can’t recommend it highly enough.
The ski program was incredibly well organized, which made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Sergey spent three days with me in a group lesson and improved my technique while making skiing more fun. Facu gave our very shy daughter, who was skiing for the first time, gentle and caring private lessons. He helped her feel confident and made her first time on snow a positive experience. This was our first Club Med and our first ski trip in Japan. Club Med Kiroro Grand delivered a smooth five star stay from beginning to end. The resort ran efficiently, the facilities were excellent, and the staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and professional. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed, and the food and drinks stayed high quality. Evening entertainment was engaging and enthusiastic. Inside the hotel, Dileep the bar manager, along with Dolphin and Perla from the hospitality staff, were especially friendly and attentive. I really can’t fault any part of our stay. We’ll absolutely return next year.
We loved coming back to Club Med Kiroro Grand for a second year. The food was still a highlight, with plenty of variety and quality, and the coffee was as good as what we get in Melbourne. Our daily onsen ritual was lovely too. All inclusive made it easy for everyone to switch off. My husband and I could work on our snowboarding, knowing our little one was having the time of her life learning to ski. A big thank you to Michaela from NZ, our snowboard instructor. She had great insights and helped us improve, and she also does a double shift in the circus performances at night. The facilities are amazing, and the lines were surprisingly short most days, except maybe Sundays. We had a great time and plan to come back next year.
