Hotel Alpha Inn Akita

The station could be half a mile closer, but the room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. That was the best part of the hotel for me.

The restaurant served really good food, which I’d highly recommend. The hotel was clean and in a good location too.

The room was roomier than at a typical business hotel, which would be handy if you had a carry-on. Breakfast doesn't start until 7am, so that may be late if you're hoping to head out earlier. I asked about breakfast, but it seemed difficult for the woman to run things on her own. The room key gave me the most trouble. It had an unusual lock, and I couldn't pull the key out. A few things left me wondering, so maybe take the reviews into account.

Breakfast isn't self-serve, which let me eat quietly and take my time. The front desk staff were very friendly, and even though the building feels a little dated, it was kept very clean. My room was spacious and quiet, the chairs were incredibly comfortable, and I slept soundly in the comfortable bed. The parking area is small, but a staff member moved my car for me. I really liked the place. I'd like to try the Inaniwa udon breakfast course next time.
