Super Hotel Anan City Office

Clean, comfortable, and new, this was a great spot for a short stay. There’s a nice little hot spring on the second floor, plus free breakfast and soft drinks. I’d stay again if I come back to Anan.

The free breakfast was tasty, especially the local "kamaage shirasu" (steamed whitebait) and the carefully selected raw eggs. The natural hot spring water has a slight salty taste. I arrived too late to use the free welcome bar, which was a shame. Super Hotel’s Natural, Organic, Smart idea comes through in the interior, and I liked the relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is right by Anan City Hall, a 7-8 minute walk from Anan Station, and has plenty of free parking. There’s a shopping district close by, but places there close early during the day as well as at night, so plan carefully if you’re eating out. The nearest convenience store is also a 7-8 minute walk away.

The staff at breakfast were so kind. The room was clean and spacious, with a big bed. Its unit bath is quite small, but having a large public bath made that fine. The welcome drink and choice of pillow added a bit of fun to the stay. The large bath has six showers and a tub that fits about six people. It may help to check the TV for how busy it is before heading over. The natural hot spring was really warming. Super Hotels are all over the country, so I’d like to use them more often. I think this is great value for money.

I stayed at this hotel during Golden Week. Its location seems geared toward business travelers, which means rooms are often still available at the last minute. That makes it a useful option if you’re extending a trip from Tokushima or stopping overnight on the way to Muroto. There are plenty of spaces in the parking lot, which is shared with the neighboring bank. You don’t have to worry about finding a spot if you return after checking in. The service is quite polished. The welcome drink selection includes a drink bar, non-alcoholic drinks, alcohol, and plum wine. The amenities are excellent too. Each person can choose up to five items, such as moisturizing packs and sleep supplements. There are power outlets around the beds, and the TVs are large, modern models with YouTube and other features. There’s also an HDMI port for connecting devices such as a Switch. It has a female connector, so you’ll need a cable. The free breakfast buffet is excellent as well, making this a very satisfying hotel overall.
