The private hot spring was really good, and the tent was nicely equipped for enjoying the stars at night. Staff had the barbecue food and everything else ready for us. They also gave clear instructions for cooking each dish, so it was easy to manage. Very clean, with good service.

The walk toward lake Kinrin is a nice part of the stay, with lots of unusual little shops along the way, and the onsen was the best part. The lake itself felt a bit over rated, though. It's not very big and there isn't much to see.

A glamping experience.

We stayed in a dome tent, with a wooden deck and our own hot spring that we could use whenever we wanted. The view from the tent was lovely, and the night scenery was beautiful. It was roomy enough for six and came with the needed basics, plus an electric kettle and fridge. The premium touches included Shiro room fragrance, a ReFa hair dryer, and Sekkisei skincare products. Dinner was a lot of fun. We picked vegetables at the market when we arrived, and staff lit the barbecue fire, cut the vegetables, and handled the setup. There was one sirloin steak per person, plenty of other meat and vegetables, and the sirloin and Bungo beef were especially tender and delicious. Rice cooked in a mess tin, popcorn, and s'mores made it feel like camping. Free-flow drinks ran from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM, though beer and lemon sour weren't included. You could buy them separately or pay extra for the all-you-can-drink option. Ice cream and frozen fruit were available from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. For breakfast, we chose fruit from the market and cooked with the hot sandwich maker and grill. Salad and soft-boiled eggs were provided, and the cooking guide sheets for both meals made things easy even for beginners. We went in October, when the grounds had Halloween decorations, a costume spot, and trick-or-treat giveaways. The staff were kind and hospitable, and there was so much included that I wondered if it was all really necessary. It was a memorable stay that made me glad we came and want to return. A good fit for glamping, visiting Yufuin, or making a trip memorable. The one-night, two-meal plan included sirloin steak and Bungo beef. Prices vary by room and season, so check when booking.

We had a special, comfortable night in a dome tent with a private hot spring, tucked into the nature around Yufuin, Oita. The hot spring was great, and the view and temperature were easy to adjust. There was fresh meat, vegetables to choose for ajillo, popcorn, and free drinks too. It felt like proper glamping. I'd love to come back.
