Just a few steps from the station, which is really handy. There’s a nice dining area and onsen too. If you have the time, rent a bike and ride to Ritsuun Gorge. The view is stunning.

The staff were so friendly, and the place itself was spacious, clean, and modern with a traditional Japanese touch. A really nice spot to stay.

We had a really pleasant stay, thanks in large part to the kind and helpful landlady. She was very talkative, too. All the food was good, especially the shabu-shabu and local beer. Breakfast came with tasty sandwich bread and corn soup, plus pork miso soup, salad, and extra bread, which I appreciated. Our room was “Sora,” a renovated traditional Japanese inn with two rooms, one tatami and one Western-style, and a bath with a hot spring circulation system. The rooms are in a separate building from the front desk and dining area, both across the street. It might sound inconvenient, but for us it was easier than walking around a big inn and using elevators. Breakfast was on the second floor of the cafe across from reception, served from 8:00 to 8:30 AM. The inn is right by Takeda Station. Looking up toward the mountain, you can see the stone walls of Takeda Castle. There were two electric bicycles in our room to borrow for free, handy for looking around the castle town. If you drive, parking is available at the station. I’d definitely come back.

We had so much food that I couldn’t finish it, and I was very satisfied with the meals. The hot spring was my favorite, so I went in several times, and my skin felt really smooth afterward. ✨ We stayed in an old Japanese-style house with a hot spring in September 2023. The toilet smell was a surprise, and it was inconvenient to use. The room was separated only by a sliding door, so staff kept coming and going while we were there. It was hard to have a proper conversation, and that got tiring. There was dust around the place too, which made me wonder about the hygiene.
