Kamenoi Hotel Kujukuri

Great choice for families, with renovated rooms and smoothly run operations. There’s a summer pool, a kids’ room, a large onsen area, and a nice buffet. The price was about half what similar stays cost in popular tourist spots. Highly recommended!

The room was comfortable and very affordable. I wasn’t expecting much this close to the major cities, and this is probably the only place around that’s livable. The facilities are dated but kept in good shape. There are two onsei, one indoors and one smaller bath that’s partly outdoors. It’s very close to the beach and surf spot. Even if you don’t surf, an early morning walk along the beach is really relaxing. Japanese-style breakfast and dinner are included. Most of the staff don’t speak English, but we managed with simple hand signs.

The rooms and service are brilliant, and the food is not bad either. Worth the price!

The beach here is beautiful, and both sunrise and sunset are wonderful to see. The hot spring water is clean and good quality. Dinner’s Kaiseki set was excellent, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of variety and tasted great. There are baths on the first and tenth floors. The first-floor one is open until midnight, while only the tenth-floor bath is available in the morning. By car, it takes around an hour and a half to two hours from Tokyo, but Narita Airport is about an hour away.
