Hotel Vista Atsugi

The rooms are small, as you'd expect at a business hotel, but clean. My fridge was broken, and they replaced it quickly. Even in a non-smoking room there was a faint tobacco smell. The hotel is surrounded by lots of restaurants and shops, and there's paid parking right behind it, though spaces are limited. Breakfast starts at 7am, which was late for my commute. 6:30am would have worked much better.

The area is pleasantly away from the bustle of Shinjuku and Shibuya, and I was really happy with my stay. The staff were wonderful and helpful. I liked the small station beside the check-in desk where you can pick up amenities if you've forgotten something. My bed was huge and comfortable, and the bathtub was deep and felt like a spa. I especially appreciated that since I didn't have enough time to find a tattoo-friendly onsen nearby. The hotel is central, with a short walk to the subway and a bus stop across the street. Two 7-11s and a Family Mart are each within a two-minute walk, and Mega Donki isn't too far either. I'd highly recommend it and hope there'll be a room available on my next trip.

After eight years, I came back to Japan with my wife, and we spent six days at Hotel Vista. Everything was good: the rate, the room, and the television all worked out well. We could also use a laundry machine and microwave, and Hon Atsugi station was only a five-minute walk away. We loved staying in Atsugi and at this hotel. Hopefully someday we'll have enough time and money to visit Japan again.

A good choice for budget travellers, though my double room felt a little cramped. The service and hospitality were exceptional. There's coin laundry and vending machines on some floors. The location is prime, with the train station and the bus to haneda airport just moments away.
