The ocean views from the tents were amazing, and having each tent on its own deck made me feel safe. It was my first glamping trip. The main hassle was the facilities: there’s just one shower room for men and one for women, plus three sinks, so a queue formed. Women might find it less stressful to use a nearby day spa. Apart from that, I was very satisfied.

We stayed here as a couple after visiting Nijigen no Mori & Uzushio Cruise, just after Golden Week. Our plan included breakfast and cost about ¥10,000 per person. Don’t skip breakfast! The room was bigger and more comfortable than expected, with two double beds, a cozy three-seat sofa, and a fridge for beer and other drinks. We also picked up some favorites at a supermarket while traveling. There’s plenty to do nearby on foot. We had dinner at Kaiten Sushi Etsusaburo, just a one-minute walk away, and there are bakeries, ice cream shops, cafes, ramen shops, and other places around for filling your free time. The men’s and women’s shower rooms and toilets are separate and clean, with strong water pressure. There’s also a powder room with three sinks, so it probably won’t get too crowded. We didn’t use the sauna, but it looked nice. It was a comfortable camping stay and a wonderful trip to Awaji Island.

For what we paid, the service was so disappointing that I wondered why we’d come all the way to Awaji Island for glamping. The course meal never arrived, dessert didn’t show up either, and no one even asked for our last order. I ended up thinking ordinary camping might have been more fun. At the start, we were told there was water in the fridge, but when we opened it, there was a boxed cheesecake crushed inside, left by the previous guests.

The tent itself was comfortable. They rent out campfire equipment, but the sea breeze was so strong that getting a fire going was difficult.
