Hana Beppu

We spent a couple of weeknights at Hanabeppu and found it wonderfully peaceful. The onsen was almost entirely ours much of the time. The meals were generous and delicious, and the staff were warm and attentive. Service was excellent, and we’re grateful for the lovely memories. Thank you to everyone at Hanabeppu for making our stay so enjoyable. Arigatō gozaimashita!

The rooms were clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. The staff were especially helpful when we had to contact our previous hotel about things we'd left behind. I really appreciated their help. Great stay, highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room for the three of us, and my daughter loved the plush futon. The welcome drink was waiting in the fridge and was very refreshing. At reception, we had to leave our shoes and walk around in socks or barefoot, so make sure your socks don't have holes, haha. We booked the private onsen for ¥2200 for 50 minutes. The water was really hot and great. From 3 to 5 pm, you can make your own matcha at the matcha corner, and there’s also a pillow room where you can pick an extra pillow. Breakfast was a traditional Japanese set with a main dish, rice, and miso soup, plus a buffet of seaweed, kimchi, other condiments, and salad.

They put your shoes away when you arrive and ask you to leave the keys with them when you go out. They seem very responsible. It’s a really nice hotel.
