Hotel ParkHills

I had their tonkatsu for lunch at the restaurant, and it's been my favorite in Japan so far. The pork was so tender and the sauce was just right. I wish I'd taken a photo, but you'll have to take my word for it. I only found this place while figuring out how to get there by public transit. Buses come once an hour and are often late.

I was only passing through and wasn’t a guest, but when my phone cable suddenly failed, the reception staff kindly let me charge my phone. They were so willing to help. That warmth really moved me and felt like a lovely example of Japanese hospitality toward visitors from abroad. I appreciate it, and I plan to stay here with my wife next time.

We arrived and found out Agoda had cancelled our room at the last minute, so we were worried nothing had been booked. Luckily, there was still a room available. The front desk team sorted it out quickly, and we were really grateful for their help.

The public bath was a real highlight, with a huge middle salt bath, a beautiful outdoor area, a cold plunge, and more iron and sulfur baths. The place itself is lovely, the accommodation was great, and the food was amazing. A must visit.
