Hotel Shuranza Chiba

I stayed here for VNL in Chiba, and walking to Chiba Port Arena was easy. There's a mall nearby with an Ichiran Ramen open 24/7. The room was the biggest I've ever had in Japan, and breakfast was good. There's also a coffee station by the elevator. The staff were kind, respectful, and welcoming. I'd rate service a 4 because they didn't have a shower cap when I asked.

Mamata cleaned my room, and I was really pleased with how it turned out. I forgot my charger, and they were happy to lend me one. Mr. Ueda greeted me right away, was so nice, and explained everything about the hotel. They have welcome coffee ☕️ and a buffet breakfast, plus coin laundry and a sauna 🧖🏾‍♀️ in the basement. Thanks for making my time in Chiba pleasant. I'll definitely come back!

It's in a quieter part of Chiba, away from the busy side, and you can reach it by bus from Haneda. A few shops are nearby, along with an Ichiran that's open 24/7 and easy to walk to. The room was a good size and had AC, and the bathhouse was a nice extra. Staff were pleasant, too. Good value, especially as a stopover if you're heading to Narita the next day.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was a big part of why I chose this place. For the rate, it was quite spacious, with a small fridge, a desk big enough for a laptop, a TV, and a comfortable bed. Coffee and tea were included. The buffet breakfast starts at 06:30 and has salads, sausages, vegetables, fish, Japanese curry, bread, coffee, and tea. It's a reasonably priced hotel near central Chiba. Walk about five minutes to the other side of the train station and things get busier, with more expensive parking. After reception hours, your room key card opens the entrance. I didn't use the pool, so can't comment on it. There's separate laundry and drying equipment in the basement, and each costs ¥100 coins to use. I also liked being able to take the stairs to the upper floors.
