I really liked the twin room’s layout. It was simple and coordinated, with the space used thoughtfully, even leaving enough room for a quick workout. The massage pillow was a nice extra, and the bathroom was clean with a full-length tub. The lobby also felt simple and efficient, with tasteful design and three self-check-in kiosks. There was a drink station with coffee and soft drinks, plus amenities, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast cost 1,500 yen prepaid or 1,800 yen on the day. There was a very good range of Japanese food alongside Western staples, with canned fruit, fresh oranges, yoghurt, matcha and coffee roll cakes, and strawberry daifuku for dessert. I thought it was better than the Keisei Tsudanuma branch. Guests could also have complimentary ochazuke on the second floor from 8pm-10pm. The free sento style public bath had a steam room for men and an aroma steam room for women. The hotel is about five minutes from Chiba Station, among long-established food shops and a couple of host/hostess clubs.

The staff kindly helped me send my suitcase on to another hotel for the next part of my trip. I also enjoyed the communal bath and sauna, and the room and facilities all seemed well looked after. The breakfast buffet was excellent, as it has been at other Vessel Inn locations. It’s a stone’s throw from Chiba Station and good value considering how room rates in Tokyo are rising.

The public bath, spa, and sauna were superb, and the notices about etiquette were helpful. Young, friendly staff with pretty good English answered a range of questions for us, including how to send our luggage to a later destination. It was just right for us, and I’d definitely stay again if I got the chance.

The kids had a blast, and the hotel is very family-friendly, with toys and books for them if they get bored. The public bath is spacious, and you get a free popsicle afterward. There are three 711s very close by, and Lawson and Family Mart are a two-minute walk away. The cafeteria had less food than I expected, but what we tried was very good. My family and I had a lot of fun and would definitely come back. Kids stay free, and children 5 and under get free breakfast, amazing!
