The rooms stood out for being larger than what I usually get at other hotels, and they were clean, quiet, and had no cigarette smell. Everything essential was already in the room, with daily housekeeping too. The front desk staff were cheerful and welcoming. Hotel Okura Chiba is around 500 meters from Chibaminato Station, with convenience stores nearby. It’s close enough to central Chiba to get around easily, but the area feels quieter than the city center. The banquet spaces can make it busy on some days, though it generally felt peaceful and safe. A good fit if you want easy transport without staying right in the bustle.

When exhibitions are on at Makuhari Messe, hotels close to the venue can get crowded and noisy. The Okura is about a 20-minute drive away and has free parking, which makes it a practical option for visitors. It’s also near Chiba Station. The building is a little dated, but it’s clean and well looked after.

We were walking through the neighborhood and paused to peek in the window. The owner happened to come by and showed us around. Beautiful!

The staff are lovely, and the food was average. It’s an upscale hotel, about an 8 min walk from chibaminato station and the monorail, with both just one stop from chiba. recommended.

That bedside lamp switch is a piece of junk. Once the main light is on, the bedside one won’t illuminate. And the receptionists’ attitude reminded me of socks left unwashed for over a year. I’ve never seen such silliness.
