The private bath was wonderful, and the whole ryokan felt peaceful and spotless. My husband and I had a really relaxing stay. We speak very little Japanese, but everyone on staff made an effort to help us communicate and feel welcome, even writing us a letter in English. I’d definitely recommend it for an authentic ryokan experience.

We went to the day-use hot spring with friends after a hike and paid 1,000 yen, which felt like good value. The onsen was comfortable, and the staff were welcoming and kindly spoke with us in English. The ryokan itself is a beautiful building that seems to have a lot of history. I hope we can stay overnight next time. Would recommend!

We stayed in the "Seseragi-no-ma" room with an open-air bath, and the layout made bathing in January really uncomfortable. The bathroom is across from the open deck onsen, so you have to walk between them over a wet floor in a poorly heated room. The room heating just wasn’t adequate for winter. I hope the owner will take this as constructive feedback and consider improving it.

The food was delicious, and the staff were both friendly and professional. We visited Chichi bu with friends and family, and the traditional Japanese hotel felt very comfortable, almost like a second home. They also picked us up at the train station.

The person in charge was cheerful and kind, which made our evening at this historic spa hotel really lovely. I hope I get the chance to see you again.
