The room was spacious and I had a comfortable stay, though the futon left my neck aching.

Quiet, with mountains and water around. It feels like home.

It was an awful stay. We arrived and were shown to a room that wasn't the Room 6 we had booked. It looked like a room stuffed with amenities and was nothing like the photos. The staff said they'd moved us because this room had a bed and was larger, but they changed it without asking us. Apart from the bed and size, it was terrible, damp, and smelled strongly of mold. It felt like an excuse. We only learned when we asked that someone else was already in Room 6, the room we had reserved. Nobody explained the change before leading us to that awful room. There was no sincere response or apology. We ended up staying in Room 6, but even after bringing it up several times, the staff never properly apologized. Talking to them was pointless, and their response was terrible. Unbelievable. I believe the staff and owner are Chinese. As a fellow Chinese person, I want to support them, but I hope they manage the hotel and staff better and treat guests sincerely. The whole experience was extremely unpleasant.

The owner of the Suijin Hotel told me that some people post bad reviews and then call asking for money, offering to remove them or write positive reviews if they're paid. Don't believe those scammers. The hotel is near Wadokurodani Station and has a beautiful view.
