I like Route Inn hotels because they're consistent and reasonably priced. This time, the only room available that day was a Comfort double, and it was very nice 👍🏻

I stayed at this hot spring hotel hoping to enjoy a view from my room, so it was extremely disappointing to find that the window looked straight at a blank wall. Room 2101 has this issue, as do Rooms 3101, 4101, and 5101. I understand fire safety may have influenced the design, but the company group feels unwelcoming to foreigners, and this establishment is dishonest with its guests. At check-in, it seems the front desk may assign these rooms without explaining or disclosing the conditions in advance. The hotel should clearly tell guests about the view and any relevant room conditions, confirm and respect their preferences at check-in, and mark rooms with significantly restricted views as "Rooms with Special Conditions." If a hotel assigns a room a guest doesn't want without explaining the situation first, and it's clearly unreasonable, I believe the guest should assert their rights and firmly object.

It's an average Japanese "business hotel." Breakfast wasn't great, but there's a Circle K convenience store not too far away. Free Wi-Fi is available.
