Air Hostel LCC

The concierge was quick to help when our hot water and heater stopped working in the morning. She was friendly and helpful throughout. We arrived a little late, but the instructions for checking in after 10 PM were very clear. Checkout is at 10 AM. The stay was comfortable and good value, better than I expected. I’d recommend Air Hostel LCC.

The location worked well for getting around Chitose, and it’s easy to reach the highway for places like Sapporo. It’s less than a kilometer from the station, which was fine for me, though I can see some people finding that walk inconvenient. The prices were good for the room size. My friend paid almost three times as much at Chitose Station Hotel for a much smaller room. The hostel was clean, and the other guests during my August 2021 stay were friendly. Staff could manage some basic English and gave us tips on local food, restaurants, and places to visit. My original December 2020 trip had been cancelled because of covid, so I was glad I finally made it. There are only four showers, on the second and fourth floors, if I remember right. In summer evenings they could be a bit annoying to wait for when everyone wanted one, though they were often free early in the morning.

We had a private room with a shower, so I can’t really comment on the hostel side. The room was clean and had both air conditioning and a heater. For the price, it was worth it. The owners were nice and spoke English, and they had a party for guests when we arrived on Christmas Eve. It’s right beside a 711, though a little way from the station. Keep in mind that toothbrushes, towels, and shavers aren’t included, and each costs 50 yen.

The shared lounge was comfortable, and the kitchen was nice. There’s also a laundry room, heated toilet, and a great shower room. The rooms are small, as you’d expect in Japan, but very clean. The staff were really helpful, and basic English was enough for us to communicate easily. I honestly can’t find anything to complain about.
