Restay Choshi Aine (Adult Only)

It’s a love hotel, but the staff are wonderfully attentive. I still stay here when I’m in town overnight for fishing ^_^

The old-fashioned hassles are part of the experience here. They grumble when you show a coupon, and the prices online don’t match what you’re charged on arrival. The hotel’s displayed prices have a small note saying “member price.” They advertise welcome drinks and other freebies, but these may be for members only, the items may differ, or they may not be available at all. The amenities are sparse, and a plate at the front desk that looks like it once held an amenity buffet was empty. The musty smell hit as soon as we walked in. I couldn’t stop coughing, and the woman with me had a runny nose for days. If you’re worried about your health, sleeping in the car might be better. The air conditioner was black inside, like it had black mold, and I doubt it had been cleaned much since installation. There was mold on the pillows, and the backs of the sofa cushions had hair, dust, and mites. I was bitten by mites while sleeping too, which felt like taking HP damage. This was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in, with lots of things that seem more like the Showa and early Heisei eras. It’s a challenge for gamers of life who can navigate all the traps to get the advertised price and service. Give it a try! The love hotel next door has the same parent company, so I wouldn’t want to stay there either, though other reviews make it sound better than this one. Maybe this place is very hard mode and the other is hard mode? If anyone sees temporary improvements based on this review, please let me know.

I stayed here for work, even though that may not be the usual purpose of a love hotel. For around 7,000 yen plus, the room was spacious, with a large bathroom, fridge, microwave, and parking. It’s another option if you often travel to other provinces for work. There were complete amenities, including towels, bathrobes, toothbrushes, combs, and razors. Women also get two types of hair dryers and a straightener. Everything was very clean, and the towels were packed in a bag, which felt hygienic. I chose a room with a massage chair, and it looked clean enough to be unused. The bed wasn’t the best, but it was fine to sleep on. I was lucky not to hear anything strange from the next room.

Other than this, the hotel itself was perfectly fine. Around 1 a.m. I ordered a late-night snack and breakfast, but they never checked whether I meant breakfast or a late-night snack, even though those were the two options and I understand people eat in the middle of the night. When I called, the employee kept saying, “We’ve already made it.” Their attitude was incredibly arrogant and self-centered. I can’t imagine even the owner speaking that way. It was so rude, as if I’d done something wrong.
