ITADAKI Daisen

We spent a weekend night at Itadaki for a getaway with my wife. From the balcony, the view over Yonago is breathtaking, and you can even enjoy it from the bathtub. The apartment is beautifully set up, peaceful, and right in the middle of the Daisen tourist area, near the shrine, temple, route up Mt Daisen, river, and restaurants. It’s fully furnished, so you can pick up food and cook. We drove to a nearby Sushi restaurant for dinner, then went to a Zazen meditation workshop the next morning at accommodation recommended by the owner of Itadaki. That was followed by a delicious, relaxing vegan Buddhist breakfast. Daisen Hot spring is also close by if you want a long outdoor soak. It was just two days and one night, but felt like a whole vacation in what looked like a four-star Suite. Thanks to Itadaki for a great experience.

Arrive early for check-in if you can. Our itinerary made us get there too late, which was a shame. The staff were welcoming and the service was excellent, and the apartment-style room was spacious, with a living room, island kitchen, and a 270-degree balcony offering panoramic views. It was a wonderful stay and my number one hotel experience for road trips. I’d definitely book again.

We stayed one night on November 26, 2024. The hotel was cozy and luxurious, very clean, and had stunning views in a fantastic location. We had dinner at the nearby "Green Sou" for Tottori Wagyu Sukiyaki, and both the stay and the meal were satisfying.

The room is 100 square meters, clean, and has a large terrace facing the rice paper market.
