The best part of our stay was the tasty traditional Japanese breakfast, which costs 1,000 yen. The staff were really friendly, and the wooden cabins in the forest are lovely, with big windows, a small rain-sheltered terrace, and a private toilet. They’re about 100 meters from the main building, though there’s no shower in the cabin. You have to use the public onsen, and the walls there had a lot of mold, which really wasn’t nice. Shampoo, soap, towels, and other supplies aren’t provided. The lockers at the onsen cost 100 yen, and you don’t get that money back when you open one.
