Hotel Route Inn Court Kofu Isawa

The young male staff were especially helpful, and the restaurant's local food was delicious, including hoto and stewed chicken offal. The building is old, but the rooms have been renovated, so they're clean and spacious. The bath isn't a natural hot spring, but it was clean, warmed me up well, and left me very satisfied. I stayed here while traveling around Yamanashi. It's a little way from the station, though walking through the town isn't too much of a trek if you take in the streetscape.

The main building rooms have neither Wi-Fi nor tissues. I've stayed in lots of business hotels and never before found one without tissue paper. In the west building, though, my room had both. Why the difference? The hotel is old, but many areas are clean, so that's okay. The room door uses a cylinder key rather than a card.

I didn't expect much from a hotel booked just as a stop on my trip, but I was able to properly relax for the first time in a while. For two people, it was 20,000 yen including the hot springs and breakfast, even though we stayed on the first day of the mid-September long weekend. A place this large that also feels secure is a real plus...

We stayed together while in Kofu for work, and the twin room had plenty of space. There were enough staff, and they were attentive. With the breakfast buffet included, it was great value. The curtains on the window-side twin bed didn't close fully, so morning light got in and cold air from outside made the room chilly. The unit bathroom also smelled of sewage. Without those issues, it would've been perfect.
