I liked the lighthearted trip back in time most of all. The hotel has a nostalgic feel, with lots of furniture and fixtures from the 70s and 80s, all still in good working order. The neat row of sakura trees leading up to the hotel makes the approach feel grand. I visited in Mar 25.

The meals at breakfast and dinner were very traditional, and the whole stay felt like an authentic Japanese onsen experience. The hotel was unique, from sleeping on a rollout futon on the floor to enjoying the hot springs.

The room was nice, the food was good, and both the staff and the onsen were great.

A Japanese-style hotel with hot springs.

The hotel was okay, but the food wasn’t really to my taste.
