Hotel Grand Fuji

We were only here to sleep. The hotel is in the city, with a small glimpse of Mount Fuji, and there’s a good view from the chapel on the top floor. The room and bath were spacious but dated. The room was comfortable for sleeping, though it had no view. The keys are old-fashioned, and you have to leave them at reception. Why? 😂

Breakfast was exceptional, and the attentive staff even greeted us in Thai, which impressed us. They were also friendly and helpful when recommending a restaurant for our big family. The hotel is beautiful and clean, and we loved our quite spacious room, especially compared with other hotels in Japan. It felt cosy too. We loved this hotel.

The rooms are a good size, and the hotel is close to the station. The staff were the friendliest and most helpful I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. Two gentlemen stood out in particular, and I managed to get one of their names: Mr. Y.Iritsuki.

The roof has an impressive view of Mt. Fuji, and the staff pointed me toward the special viewing area without being intrusive. The hotel has large twin rooms and was quiet. There are several busy restaurant lanes within walking distance, with plenty of places serving local people. Bring a camera translation app.
