Super Hotel JR Fujiekimae Kinenkan

The room was too small, with barely any space for our luggage. It was dim, the windows were blocked, and the TV only had local channels, not smart TV features. There was no free parking if you rented a car. Still, the hotel is right by Fuji station, with Daiso, a stretch of restaurants, and 7-11 nearby. The staff were friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious, with different dishes each day. Free alcohol was available at night in a range of choices too. The location and tasty breakfast earned it four stars for me; otherwise, it would have been two.

The rooms were spotless, without the musty smell I often notice when entering hotels. The location is a perfect 10, and there's an all-you-can-drink bar for free. Breakfast was buffet style too. Hard to beat for the price, and I'll come back.

I booked two days, but when I checked in and saw the room, I immediately walked out. The manager on duty initially offered to refund one of the two nights. Expedia later contacted the hotel properly about the one-night request, but the property manager denied it. I called the hotel several times from overseas myself, but couldn't get anywhere because of the language barrier. I should add that the reception staff member was extremely polite and helpful.

The room was small, but it felt cozy and was clean. It’s close to JR Fuji, and breakfast is included from 6 to 8:30 am. Staff were very good at chatting in English. You can choose your pillow, and there are complimentary face masks, cream, and serum. Checkout is self-service. ❤️👍🏼👍🏼
