Resort Hotel Coosu Coosu

The room was comfortable, the staff were kind, and I was glad we could bring our dog. The road is a little narrow, but it's exactly as shown on Google Maps. Coming from the Koumi intersection and turning left seems like the easiest way to find the place. We checked in a bit late, so next time I'd like to arrive earlier and enjoy the terrace. Thank you very much.

It's expensive and very hard to reach without a car. There's no nearby bus stop, no sidewalk for walking, and no restaurants close by. The hosts don't speak English. Our chalet room had no view of the lake or Mount Fuji, and there was no hot water.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, and I liked the room. It was relaxing in the quiet area away from the main street, with a nice European countryside B&B feel. Still, the only sleepwear was a bathrobe, and it felt worn. A natural disaster had knocked out the TV, the room's phone line, and the hot water during my stay. I only realized there was no hot water in the evening, so I missed the private hot spring and used the hotel's day spa instead. It was expensive, but the hot spring there was substantial. Breakfast was a one-plate meal. The bath was out of service, and neither the TV nor calls to the front desk from the room worked. When I left, they said they'd refund my card for the inconvenience, but they never did. I wonder if they already knew about the water heater problem. Such a shame, since I liked the room.

Our little 7-month-old dog was staying at a hotel for the first time. We only booked a room, but if you have a long list of expectations, you might want to choose somewhere more upscale. Since people mentioned the entrance was hard to spot, I watched for it, and still drove past once, haha. There were some bugs, but that seemed fair for a cottage-style place out in nature. The setup worked really well for guests with dogs, and our pup seemed happy and had a lovely time. Would I come back? Yes. I'd also like to try the food next time.
