The hotel emailed us a lot before the stay to make arrival easy. They also explained that luggage can be dropped off at noon, but using the room before the 4pm check-in costs 3000 yen per hour. We stayed in the trailer for one night. It's simple, but has a mini fridge, microwave, and bathroom inside, and it was clean and stayed warm during chilly Oct nights. The location is halfway between the bus station and lakeside, an easy walk to both. When jet lag kept us from sleeping in, we walked to Lawson’s for a fun convenience breakfast, then crossed to the far side of the lake for views of Mt Fuji.

In april we rented a small, beautiful house with a sauna. Everything was clean, and the location is ideal if you're looking to climb Fuji or explore the nature nearby. I'd never seen a big tv in a bathroom before!

I loved the neighborhood, especially with a supermarket nearby that has great Japanese food, Takadaya. Kawaguchiko Station is super close too. The unit is large enough for many people and gives you that traditional Japanese house feel. Solid place!

We rented all three buildings for ourselves, 12 friends and their families, and had a great time with the BBQ, sauna, and bonfire without worrying about other people seeing us. The saunas are cypress and smell lovely. The main sauna has no cold bath, but you can fill the bath in the old Japanese house next door with water and go between the two through the back door to relax. The accommodation is a renovated old Japanese house that takes you back to the Showa era. There are lots of nearby things to do with kids too. We enjoyed SUP and a forest tour, activities you don't get in the city. I'd love to return with the kids during summer vacation!
