The house is well equipped and the stay was comfortable overall. It’s a little old, though, and that set off my friend’s nasal allergies. Mount Fuji is so close that you can see it as soon as you step outside.

For 13,700 yen per person, we got two nights and three days through Airbnb. Such a bargain! I stayed with a friend, and it felt like a great, affordable spot for a camp-like stay, especially for foreign visitors wanting to experience Japanese living. There’s a big TV, though I was uneasy seeing previous guests’ YouTube and Amazon Prime login histories still on it. Since the accounts were still there, I worried that checking something might put unfamiliar activity in my log, lol. The kitchen is a bit old but works well for cooking, with plenty of dishes and a dishwasher. The refrigerator was partly out of order. Further in there’s a shower room, two toilets, and a washing machine. The tatami room is spacious and could fit futons for a big group. Upstairs there’s one room with a double bed and another with two beds, so the second floor is the better choice if you want to sleep in beds.

A clean, quiet home with amenities nearby, and a well-equipped kitchen where you can make your own meals. Great for a large family.
