The staff made the stay feel special, going above and beyond with every request. The food was another highlight: each dinner had five or six courses of gourmet dishes, beautifully presented and delicious. The chef also accommodated my wife's food allergies. The rooms were better than we expected from the website. We stayed in the spacious new building, with a cool shower room, a huge jetted tub, a high-tech Japanese toilet, and a comfortable bed. The old building is nice too, with views of lake saiko. Ma Maison Saiko was a jackpot of a booking, better than expected. A hidden gem with wonderful food, hospitality, and rooms. Absolutely five stars, highly recommend.

The seafood in the paella was very fresh. It wasn't as authentic as the Spanish version, but we still found it delicious. We especially ordered the cheese hot pot. It isn't authentic, but my husband loved it because it had no alcohol. I absolutely love this restaurant in Saiko, about a 15-minute drive from Kawaguchiko. It's quiet and beautiful, almost like being in Switzerland. At lunch, you can add a salad, dessert, and drink for 800 yen. The dessert is especially good, served as a mixed dish, and it's great value.

In the new building, I found the stay really nice. The bath had a jacuzzi and bath salts, and there was coffee and green tea too.
