We hadn’t booked a room, but thought this might be a good place to get halal food because it was advertised as having a halal restaurant. We found out the restaurant was only open to people staying there. Using the prayer room also costs 500yen per person, so a family of four would pay 2000yen just to pray. I wouldn’t suggest coming here if you aren’t staying overnight. Maybe guests who have booked a room get much better hospitality than we did.

A charming, low-cost little B&B with lovely staff. Breakfast was traditional Japanese and very nice. It’s ideal if you want an inexpensive stay, though it wouldn’t suit someone looking for 5 star luxury. There’s an Indian restaurant and a Lawsons within a five-minute walk.

If you can’t find a prayer room around Kawaguchiko, you can use this one. Tell the staff you’d like to use the prayer's room. They charge 500 yen per person, which lets you use the toilet and the prayer's room.

I was disappointed to find that the prayer room is restricted to guests. A hotel doesn’t need to be a “Muslim hotel” for Muslims to pray. We can stay anywhere and pray in our room, as long as we have a compass.
