My friends and I, four of us, rented the private guest house the night before our hike on the blue trail. The different rooms had either classic Japanese bedding or bunk beds, and the place was really comfortable. We especially liked the selection of classic Studio Ghibli movies and Manga, though they’re only in Japanese. Guest house tokiwa was a great find, and we wished we’d stayed longer. The owner was kind even when we checked in around 2030. He pointed us toward somewhere to get late-night snacks and gave us useful advice about Fuji, where to park, and what time to leave. Great experience, especially for a group. We’d recommend it and hope to return.

Daisuke-san greeted us with a smile when we arrived around 8 PM, then even checked that we’d parked the car properly. He showed us around the spacious guesthouse and explained the layout, including a few house rules like no smoking. We really enjoyed our stay. 10/10 place!

The hosts were friendly and kind, and the place felt like home. It’s a traditional Japanese guesthouse with tatami floors and decor, plus a manga room full of manga. There’s a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms, one with two bunk beds and the other with traditional mattresses. The kitchen has a toaster, kettle, microwave, and other essentials. The bathroom is split into a bidet toilet, washing area, and spacious shower. There’s also a laundry and drying area with good facilities for drying clothes. Great value for the price, highly recommended.

It feels like staying at home, and the owner and staff are really nice, welcoming, and ready to help. The CEO is an adorable little dog and definitely a highlight, though sorry, I forgot his name. Amazing accommodation in Fujinomiya. We’d definitely come back if we get another chance to visit this town! 💖

The annex was roomy, cosy, and very traditional, and great value for money. Our host Daisuke Kageyama was friendly and took us to watch the sunrise over mt fuji. One thing to keep in mind: open the windows just before and after using the corona kerosene heater, or the kerosene smell can get very strong. Switching on eco mode may help with the smell too.
