Our twin room was spacious at 21 square metres, and the onsen was small but never crowded. Complimentary masks and amenities were a nice touch. The free breakfast was okay, though we preferred the lovely bakery shop JA nearby, on the same level as the Fukaya Museum. There are also some great restaurants close by, so Google Maps is useful for finding them. We often use business hotels for long-haul stops. On this trip we travelled from Nikko to Lake Yamanakako and stayed here. It’s cosy and clean, good for a family, and the price is good too. We’ll definitely come back.

After a long day, the traditional Japanese bath was just right. The men’s and women’s baths are separate. The staff were helpful and spoke basic English, and the bed was good. The pillows were a bit firm for me since I prefer down, so I bring my own. I was surprised the rooms weren’t tiny. The space felt like a cruise ship room and worked fine for two people. A few restaurants and a pachinko parlor that’s unbelievable and has to be experienced are just a one-to-three-minute walk away. I was pleased with my stay.

The rooms were simple, clean, and comfortable. The hot tub rooms were nice for relaxing, with separate male and female areas and water brought in from a hot spring. Breakfast had a good mix of Japanese and Western food.

I stayed in January 2018, and the hotel still felt brand new. The room facilities all seemed new, and the rate was hard to beat, under 7,000 yen for a twin room.

Hana hotels have large TVs, decent Wi-Fi, and free breakfast. My only complaint is that this one is far from the train station.
