Saitama Grand Hotel Fukaya

I really liked how roomy the rooms were, and the price was even lower than a business hotel. The staff were friendly and pleasant, whatever their nationality, and the room soundproofing was excellent. It's also a great spot: the station is nearby, Toyota Rent-a-Car is a one-minute walk away, and the supermarket is about seven minutes on foot. Despite being close to the station, I didn't hear any trains. There's a large public bath in the basement, with a slightly unusual feel to it, and you can help yourself to Garigari-kun snacks after bathing. I'll have to come back.

The bath was roomy and comfortable, and I enjoyed finding free Garigari-kun toys in the changing room. That felt fun and very Fukaya-like. The building is old, but the interior was lovely, and the staff were very polished and courteous. The smoking area by the first-floor entrance was spacious and strikingly clean, with no cigarette smell at all. If I come to Fukaya again, I'll definitely stay here. Thanks so much.

The deluxe single was roomy enough for me to relax in, and the staff were welcoming and very polite. I did notice quite a bit of dust when I picked up something I'd dropped beneath the desk. That hidden gap should probably be removed or the area behind it cleaned. Apart from that, the hotel seemed well looked after. The sauna in the large public bath was relaxing, too. I'd stay again if I get the chance.

The rooms look renovated and were clean for a long-established hotel. I appreciated the outlets and multifunction TVs, as well as the large public bath, sauna, and thoughtful Garigari-kun treat. The staff were kind and attentive, which is a lovely feature of this long-running hotel. It's only a two-minute walk from the station, with convenience stores and restaurants close by. Even so, nights were relatively quiet for a spot right in front of the station, so I could relax.
