Panda Stay Okayama

The open-plan rooms were clean and comfortable, and towels and a washing machine were provided. The owner also put together a really useful English-language binder with the practical details, which made checking in much easier. Thanks so much!

The location worked well for us, with Okayama Station around a 15-20 minute walk away and a supermarket and Lawson about five minutes away. Guests who rent a car can use the free parking. The kitchen has an induction cooker, pots and pans, cooking oil, salt, and other seasonings. There are a few drawbacks. The house is tucked into a small alley, even though it’s on a main road and near a police station. The entrance is down that narrow lane, which gets dark at night. The stairs are very steep, so adults need to watch children on them. It can sleep about 3-4 people, but more than that would feel cramped.

It’s a small, clean, quiet house that felt comfortable for 2-3 people, but could be crowded with four. The booking photos made it seem bigger. For getting around, there are plenty of buses to Okayama Station, and it’s also walkable. Aeon Mall supermarket is nearby for shopping. The kitchenette has an oven, microwave, and induction cooker. The owner left detailed instructions in a loose-leaf notebook. They aren’t fluent in spoken English, but replies to messages were quick and clear.

The panda theme is adorable, and the house has everything a family needs. We had a great base for taking a break in Okayama and exploring the surrounding area.
