Aloha Inn Aine

The front desk man was incredibly kind, and at first I thought this might be a good hotel for the area. I picked it after reading the Couples reviews, but now I wonder if those reviews were honest. The refrigerator in my room had been switched off to save energy, and water had collected inside and mold had grown. Dust covered the air conditioner vents, and I saw a German cockroach, something I’d never encountered in a love hotel before. The draft beer tasted oddly sour, so I stopped after one sip. I appreciated that breakfast was free, but I couldn’t eat it. The staff were kind, yet the place itself failed completely as somewhere for people to stay. I wanted to take action so no one else would have the same experience.

It’s closed now and has fallen into ruin. A little farther along by car, I found HOTEL GEN and had a comfortable, pleasant stay there. The staff were kind too.

It’s like a Brazilian motel, but the accommodation is better than many hotels. The bed is a great size and the food is really good. Some rooms have a massage chair and a whirlpool bath.

The room feels old.
