Asahi Ryokan

Really great.

The breakfast was freshly made and easily one of the best we've had. Our traditional room was tucked away toward the back, so it was quiet. We arrived late on a slow day and still got a warm welcome, with the bath freshly prepared for us. There isn't a private bathroom, but the shared facilities were in great shape, and there are laundry machines too. Most shops and restaurants are a 10-15 minute walk away, which worked fine for us.

The extension cord with three taps came in handy for an event where I needed my phone and tablet. The toilet area was new, with a washlet, and Wi-Fi was available, though the bathroom itself could still use some work. The place felt worth the price. I was surprised to see a 2025 model Daikin air conditioner.

The room felt about right for me, though I hesitated at first because it was hard to find among the other rooms. It had a bath and amenities, and there was no curfew, which made things easy. The room I stayed in didn't seem to lock, so take care with valuables. Looking at it as a list of drawbacks, there'd be plenty to point out, but judged by its good points, it's a place with experiences you can only have here. I'd like to stay again.
