Fukuchiyama Ark Hotel

I was there for work, and the Japanese breakfast I picked came with plenty of rice refills. You can choose Japanese or Western, and there are drinks to go with it. The drinks and snacks near the elevator are well stocked too. My room had a charging cable, so forgetting my own charger probably wouldn't be a problem. There was a little mold in the bathroom, but it was cleaner than other business hotels I've stayed in. One evening the room across the hall seemed to have Sazae-san playing loudly, so I mentioned it at the front desk on my way to dinner. They handled it, and the hallway was quiet when I got back.

My fourth-floor double was small, with the toilet and bath together, and the toilet may feel cramped if you're over 175 cm and 80 kg. If you need larger pajamas, get them from the front desk early. The hotel is handy for JR Fukuchiyama Station, about a 2-3 minute walk, and the contracted parking lot is convenient too. I paid under 10,000 yen for a Saturday in November 2025, which seemed reasonable. There's welcome coffee, and the first-floor restaurant serves a hearty breakfast at a fair price. It feels like good value.

I often stay at Fukuchiyama Ark Hotel as a stopover while traveling on the Sanin Line, Bantan Line, Fukuchiyama Line, and Kyotango Railway. The staff are warm and funny, the dinner is tasty, and the room rates are reasonable. It's a nice way to make good memories on a trip. Thanks as always, Fukuchiyama Ark Hotel. The standout for me was breakfast, with the variety and flavor you'd expect at a ryokan. I travel around the country for work, so that's really something. The person who brought the meal was courteous and lively, and I enjoyed starting the day with it. For business, the hotel is about five minutes from the station. At night, you can see the neon sign from the station's north exit and just head toward it. The room is laid out pretty typically, but the washlet and other plumbing fixtures seem to have been replaced with newer systems.
