The location is great and the staff are nice. The rooms are a little larger than in a typical Japanese hotel, too. Still, the amenities are very basic: there wasn’t even water or disposable slippers in the room, and the Wi-Fi barely worked. Booking.com lists it as a four-star hotel, but honestly I’ve stayed in better three-star places. It’s a reasonable option if you’re watching your budget, but maybe not if convenience matters more to you.

There are plenty of restaurants nearby, and though this business hotel is close to Fukui Station, I rarely heard the trains. The staff were friendly and helpful. Guests can choose a Japanese or Western breakfast set, and the hotel has a hot spa for guests.

We had connecting single rooms, so each of us had a private bathroom and toilet, which made the stay comfortable. The hotel is very close to the station, and the public bath was roomy and relaxing. We also enjoyed the tasty complimentary ramen served at night, and there are lots of good restaurants close by. We’d be happy to stay here again next time.

The room was on the small side, but it was clean and had enough space for a short visit. The hotel’s appeal is the public bath on the second floor, the free ramen bowl at supper, and being right outside Fukui Station.
