Hotel Fujita Fukui

I especially liked being able to pick out things like shampoo, conditioner, hygiene products, and pillows from the self-service area. The single room was roomy, clean, and had what I needed, including a mini fridge, kettle, dark curtains, and business services. The building and facilities are a little old, but the English signs and helpful staff made things easy. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the station, across the park and close to the center. There are convenience stores a block away in either direction, plus a few restaurants in the building. I’d recommend it for a few nights in Fukui.

The staff were really friendly, and the hotel was clean with all the little things covered, from toiletries and towels to robes and slippers. Sure, the room was small, but rooms in Japan are small in general. We loved staying here, and it was ten times better than the Airbnb we’d stayed in before. Great location and view. We’d definitely come back.

The room on the 10th floor had a really nice view, and the internet was great. I was only there for one night, but the room was large and the double bed was genuinely big enough for two average-sized people. The facilities may be dated, though they were well maintained. It’s one of the bigger hotels in Fukui, I think, and one of the good options near Fukui Station. I didn’t try the breakfast. I’d stay here again next time I visit Fukui.

The hotel is centrally located, but I can’t recommend staying here. The furniture in the room is outdated, and the service wasn’t very good. Breakfast regularly gets overcrowded, and when the wait was too long and I missed breakfast, they didn’t refund the price.
