It’s an old hotel with a great location and great staff. I’m not thrilled that each customer gets only one bottle of water in the lobby per day, from 2pm to 10pm. That just doesn’t make sense.

This place is old, and the breakfast buffet sitting area has a traditional feel, along with an enclosed little garden that’s easy to maintain. I enjoyed watching the two security cats outside each morning. I also noticed quite a few group guests, including older generations, which gives the hotel its charm. The five stars are for the value, not for an upscale new facility. For what I paid, the hotel went above and beyond. It’s within walking distance of the central area and bus stops, and the breakfast buffet had traditional Japanese items and was great for the price. They let me skip a room cleaning after the 2nd day and offered me a free vending beer.

The bus stop is only about a five-minute walk away, which made getting to local spots like the yattai easy. I stayed one night in early November 2024 before flying home, and the hotel took good care of me. It was clean and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were professional and spoke English well. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Fukuoka.

Being just 15 sq.m. makes the room a bit small, but I can understand that. It's in a great spot near Tenjin shopping center.
