Miyako Hotel Hakata

The shower had the best water pressure I've come across on my travels. After walking all day, it really helped relieve my stress. The location is crazy convenient, with a direct connection to Hakata train station via B1 and a Mcdonalds right there on B1. Highly recommended for a city visit.

The one part we didn't enjoy was breakfast. Although the buffet room has lovely skyline views of Fukuoka, the layout isn't ideal. It gets crowded, and the narrow space between counters and guest tables makes it hard to move around and choose food. We also thought the price was too high for the options, compared with similar hotel buffets we've had. We stayed several nights with our 18-month-old son. The room was modern and spacious, giving him room to play and burn off energy in the evening. The beds were comfortable, and the shower facilities were modern. Staff were welcoming and helpful throughout, and the location was great. It was a good stay, and I'd recommend the hotel to travellers looking for a modern, spacious place close to Hakata Station.

We had a wonderful four-day, three-night visit and would happily return. The staff handled every detail with care, making the stay comfortable and enjoyable. Breakfast was outstanding, with quality ingredients and great preparation. Highly recommended!

The smart little touches made the stay feel effortless. You can scan a QR code for the daily newspaper, and the TV shows real-time crowd levels for breakfast and the spa so you can plan around busy times. The coffee and tea bar even has wine and champagne glasses, and the drawers were fully stocked with luxe toiletries. The rooms are hugely spacious for Japan, bigger than some U.S. hotels, and the thoughtful details are everywhere. There's a real king-size bed, modern, beautiful design, a spa and rooftop pool, and Toto bidet fans are covered too. The location is prime, right next to Hakata Station with endless food places just steps away. We're obsessed and will 100% stay again.
