Hotel Sunline Fukuoka Ohori

The pods were cozy and private enough to feel like your own little den after a long day of travel. For the quality, it was very affordable, and the location is super central. There's a mini mart just around the corner, and it's a good place to meet other travelers. One of my most comfortable stays.

The location made it easy to get out and explore: the subway is under a five-minute walk, and Ohori Park and the Fukuoka Art Museum are both close enough to walk to. There’s a Charichari shared bike station right outside, though you have to register on your phone first. The roads toward Tenjin are wide, making for a comfortable ride if you avoid rush hour. I was really happy with the pod dorm. It had plenty of storage, hangers and a small locker with a key. The fifth-floor lounge is spacious and usually quiet, good for eating or working. The first floor is better for chatting and meeting people. They also run weekday activities like movie nights and live DJ events, which gave solo travelers something fun to do.

The hostel has a nice backpacker and solo traveler feel, with a bar in the lobby, happy hours and snacks. I signed up for breakfast and got plenty to eat. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean, with comfortable beds and passcode access for safety. Ohari-koen station is very close and easy to reach from the Fukuoka Airport subway line. The Fukuoka art museum and park are close too.

There’s a full kitchen with utensils, plus fridge and freezer space in the lounge. The sitting area is comfortable, and the hostel has clear signs explaining how things work and where to go. Breakfast was included and really nice, with coffee or tea, boiled agg, yogurt, granola and different kinds of bread. The location is perfect, next to Ohori park and the subway. I'll definitely stay here again.
