Residence Hotel Hakata 18

It’s a regular apartment hotel with clean furniture. My room didn’t have its own Wi-Fi router, so I was told to connect to the next room’s SSID. I could just about get a signal, but it kept timing out and I couldn’t communicate properly. When I called the front desk, they didn’t understand what equipment the room had and said there was a router in it. They also didn’t call back when they said they would, and the staff member who came to check the signal couldn’t understand what I’d explained over the phone. The person who came to my room handled things decently, and someone else was helpful with another inquiry, so I’m not giving it 1 star.

The room was very clean, and as an apartment hotel it had a separate toilet and bathroom, a washing machine, and a bathroom dryer. There are takeout places, convenience stores, and Yoshizuka Station nearby, so finding food isn’t a problem. But the front desk is at a hotel near Hakata Station, where you have to go to collect your key. If you have business around there, it’s fine; otherwise, it feels like a waste of time, and I’d recommend another hotel. It comes down to time versus money. Picking up luggage at the desk is a hassle too, so I wish they had a shuttle bus to the property. I also got a call at 11:30pm asking if I’d parked my car without permission. Even though it was an emergency call, I thought they could at least have acknowledged how late it was. It felt inconsiderate.
