I was uneasy about staying at an unstaffed hotel in an area I didn't know, but it was conveniently close to Tenjin Minami Station. At street level, the entrance was partly blocked by signs and tables for the restaurant on the first floor, so I had to squeeze past them to get into the building. The room was smaller than I'd pictured, but fine if you only need a place to sleep. As other guests have mentioned, the floor inside is one step lower, so watch your footing as you come through the door. I wanted to leave my bags before check-in, but the website had no photos showing what the luggage area was like, so I gave up on that.

For a place to sleep without spending much, the location could work well. I stayed one night in a double room on a business trip, and the low-cost feel was pretty clear. Inside, it seemed like an apartment converted into a hotel in a hurry. I knew about the entrance step from other reviews, but still nearly tripped because it was larger than I expected. Check-in is fully remote, and security didn't feel strong, so keep track of your own belongings. There was a lot of dust, including on the windowsills, and the cleaning was disappointing. It brought back memories of a prison-like hotel I stayed in while trying to save money as a student in Hong Kong. It may be aimed at foreign visitors.

The location is the main reason I'd come back. Don Quijote and 7-Eleven are a minute away, Lawson takes two minutes, Family Mart four, and Tenjin shopping street is close too. There's also a nearby shrine where you can spend some time and relax. If the price is about the same as other places, being here can save on both transport costs and energy. There is a public bathhouse nearby as well, a nice option if you want to try a traditional Japanese bath. The rooms are definitely small. Two people can manage, but with a suitcase open on the floor there's hardly room to move, so I wouldn't suggest it if you prefer space. The place is on the third floor above a bar on the first. We didn't find the bar too noisy. The sound insulation, though, is seriously poor: hallway noise can be as loud as the cafe next door, and you can hear hair dryers from other rooms. Our door rattled when we opened it. If you're a light sleeper, a noisy neighbor could spoil the trip. We slept well and had considerate neighbors, so it was fine for us. Check-in starts at 4 p.m., which is late. It's unmanned, and although luggage storage is mentioned, there isn't any, so use coin lockers and don't count on early check-in. I emailed to ask, and they said the place was closed for cleaning. Replies were very quick, usually within 30 minutes, and mine came in 10. If you try to check in early, you'll get a notice to try again at 4 p.m. The process itself was easy, and we didn't need a video call. The room has towels, cotton swabs and pads, a comb, toothbrush and toothpaste, plus a microwave. I was disappointed there were no shower towels. Extra towels are at the bottom of the drawer under the check-in tablet, so you can take more. The bathroom is small but has body lotion, foam cleanser, cleansing oil, hand soap, conditioner, body wash, and shampoo. Water pressure is strong, but don't use the tub, because the drain was blocked and the water didn't go down properly. They provide two towels. The hairdryer is surprisingly good, powerful and warm, so no need to bring one. The bed was fine. It's foam, but not overly soft, and I slept decently despite preferring spring mattresses. The pillows are a bit low. The refrigerator is only somewhat cool, and there's a humidifier. The air conditioning worked well. There are no windows to ventilate, so if the room feels humid, I suggest running the bathroom fan with the door closed. Since there's no cleaning service, avoid food with a strong smell. Cleanliness was hard to judge. It wasn't very dirty, but not spotless either, more like a room that's been cleaned well with a missed, grubby corner. Overall the accommodation is average, with a very strong location and a fair number of drawbacks. Think it over before booking, though I would still return.

The bedding was clean, and the concrete-style room was fine for somewhere to sleep. It's around five minutes from Nishitetsu Fukuoka Station, right downtown, with Don Quijote nearby and plenty of places to go out for drinks. Finding it takes a little effort: the first floor is a restaurant, and the building entrance is beyond it. The hotel itself is on the third floor and has contact-free CI (Corporate Identification), with no staff present. A few things could be better. You can hear people in the next room easily, the hairdryer was dirty, and the flimsy shower curtain felt like something from a 100-yen shop. At this price range I understand some shortcomings, but I hope they replace that curtain. I'm on Instagram, take a look if you'd like. ID: gen0314

I've never stayed somewhere this bad. The air conditioner remote was broken, so I couldn't switch it off. Staff told me they'd come fix it, but nobody ever showed up. The toilet smelled terribly musty too. Absolutely awful! 😀
