The hotel is very close to the station, which was handy, but the service let me down. Reception was brusque, and they wouldn’t honor my membership card for early check-in. Every other branch has accepted it. They said it was because I hadn’t booked on their website, though that wasn’t one of the stated conditions. I’ve generally had good experiences with the Toyoko Inn chain, so this visit was disappointing.
10/10
Hakata Station is just a few steps away, with the shinkansen and subway lines there. The hotel staff seemed very committed to helping guests. My room was clean, quiet, and secure, and the wifi signal was strong. Breakfast was all health food.

The location is really good, and I’d stay here again on my next trip. Can I send a parcel to the hotel before I arrive? Thank you.
2/10
We arrived at 2 a.m. and left at 5 a.m. because the airport had closed, but we still paid the full original rate. When I tried to help my two children, aged 7 and 14, the front desk woman wasn’t kind or helpful. They escorted me to and from my room as if I might do something harmful. I was shocked and disgusted by that treatment. A kind young man did a lot to help us, and my child was able to get a good night’s sleep.
10/10
There’s no parking at the hotel, but the location is very convenient. A FamilyMart is next door, and Hakata Station is a three-minute walk over the footbridge. The station has two shopping malls and two department stores. The rooms are small, in line with Toyoko Inn standards, while breakfast is better than average for the chain.
