It was a lovely wedding, with great food, a stylish venue, and wonderful staff. The atmosphere was fantastic and surprisingly quiet, even though it was an entire-building rental wedding venue in Tenjin.

The kids loved having the garden and pool to themselves, and we felt comfortable using them with the coronavirus around. One thing that did bother me was how clearly the pool could be seen from CAITAC SQUARE GARDEN across the street, where some people were taking photos. We stayed as a family of four in the penthouse suite on August 16th. WEEKENDHOUSE opened in July 2020, with a chapel and party space on the first floor. Our third-floor room was a roomy 180 square meters, with a big sofa, two refrigerators, an ice maker, a safe, slippers, and a hair dryer. There was plenty of tableware and other equipment, plus beer and sours you could pour yourself from the kitchen, so it would work well for a big group. The double sink was handy, though the bathroom only had a shower and no tub. We walked with the kids to breakfast at Ron Herman Cafe, about 3 minutes from WEEKEND HOUSE. We all had a really fun stay.
The food was better than I expected, too. I thought they might not focus much on it, but the meat was so tender it practically melted in my mouth. The venue also has a beer and lemon sour server, and depending on the date, the couple can add a few more guests, which would suit a house-style after-party. I went to see it after being encouraged to consider Fukuoka, where my husband's relatives live, since getting around is easier than in my hometown. The wedding concept was that the couple invite everyone to their new villa. The decor is casual, without the usual grand chandeliers or lavish feel. So if you want a very formal venue, this may not be your style, but it seems great for a relaxed ceremony. Since you rent the whole building, they can put the bride's own hair iron in the women's bathroom and write thank-you notes on the mirror. There are guest changing rooms too, and those thoughtful details were a plus. It was a really attractive place, and we had a hard time deciding, but in the end we had to decline because most guests lived in the bride's hometown. I'd recommend a visit if you want guests to feel comfortable or want to be close to them during the wedding.
There's a lovely wedding venue tucked behind the commercial building out front, with a pool. You can also use it as a cafe or for dinner. I went to check out Kai Tak Square Garden after the commercial facility opened in Kego this summer. The front building tends to draw your attention first.
Our guests were so happy with the food and the stylish venue, and we had the best wedding ceremony. The planner, staff, photographer, and makeup artist were all friendly and made the day fun. Thank you so much for everything at WEEKEND HOUSE!
