The room was clean, though pretty average. They had several extras: welcome coffee, Yonaki Ramen, free massage chairs, and a large public bath. The Yonaki Ramen serving is about a third of a bowl, just right to finish off a night of drinking. I tried the massage chair a few times, but its movements were rough and sometimes painful. I was the only one using it. The bath was small, and I was a little concerned that the circulating water picked up hair and other debris. I suppose these things are a service, so that can’t be helped. Breakfast was delicious, although the curry was very bland. I asked them to stamp my travel memory book, but it seems that’s not something they usually do. Parking cost 600 yen.

On weekday nights they offer ramen that you can put together yourself, a simple and fun little service. The Wi-Fi was good enough for YouTube, and the rooms were a bit bigger than in an average business hotel. There’s a small large public bath, and the front desk is on the 8th floor. The hotel is right in front of Fukushima Station, with parking across the street or nearby.

The building feels a little old, but the location is great, so it didn’t bother me. The late-night ramen is limited to 20 servings and runs only until 11pm. If you order the breakfast buffet before check-in, it’s a bargain at 500 yen. I’d definitely get it.

I got an upgraded room and was able to relax more than I’d expected. I went to the large public bath, Hanamiyama no Yu, early and had it to myself. It has a jet bath that really helped wash away my fatigue.

For the price, it was good, and the room was old but had no problems. You pick up any amenities you need from near the front desk and take them to your room. Breakfast is 500 yen if you book the day before. It comes with warm rice and miso soup, plus other side dishes, and that was enough for me. The room had no pens or notepads, which was quite inconvenient. The paper cups were too small, had no handles, and got hot.
