The staff were kind, and they let me sit in the reading room before check-in. The location and service were fine, but the building needs serious work. My room was genuinely unsettling: the AC and shower fan were covered in grime and dust, and I couldn't use either without worrying they'd make me feel ill. The shower swung between boiling and lukewarm, and the towels smelled so musty I doubt they'd seen detergent or softener in weeks. There's a restaurant, though I'm not sure I'd trust it. I've stayed at much nicer business hotels across the tohoku region for this price, even ones with stains and rough edges. I can't recommend this place.

I found the Japanese-style room oddly relaxing, and the receptionist made a good impression. Mine was in the old building, though, and the tatami, futons, towels, and other things were worn. It had a TV, fridge, kettle, AC, sink, and safe, but I couldn't find any hangers. The bath and toilet are shared. There's a public bath, but it's only large enough for around four people. The inn is under a 10-minute walk from the station's east exit, though it can be a little hard to find.
The customer service was really warm. The facilities are visibly worn, but the price is the lowest around here, which makes sense for how close it is to the station. For what it costs, that's a good deal.
Free parking and breakfast are included, which makes this very convenient. The location is great, and the price is nearly half what nearby hotels usually charge.
